My Grandmothers, a series that celebrates the women who were hostesses to many thousands of overseas vistors over many decades, the people, including royalty who came to see the geothermal phenomena of June's tribal village at Whakarewarewa. These women were guides, performers and composers, and in Makareti's case, later a noted academic at Oxford University.
