Maori Clay Artist

Kaitiaki vessels were designed to be placed outside the homes of single parents to act as guardians.
Named as the grandaughters of one of the Deities of Fire - Mahuika, they referenced the act of keeping the hearth flame alight and warming the land - ongoing occupation.
