The complementarity and gender equity epitomised by
the presence of the Mareikura - and Whatukura, * within the Maori Cosmogonic
Myth, was examined in a thesis, presented for the degree of Bachelor
of Applied Arts from Northland Polytechnic / Tai Tokerau Wananga, inspiring
a series of sculptural vessels as a visual presentation.
